Youth
Ministry Mission Statement:
It is
our intent to assist our youth in not just understanding and recognizing
their appointment to salvation, but to also recognize God's plan and
purpose in, for and through their lives especially as Christians in our
communities where they serve as witnesses to the truth of the Gospel of
Jesus Christ to other young people.
It is
also our intent to help perfect that which has already been placed on
the inside of them: to nurture and stir up their gifts; to seek out and
activate the power of the Holy Spirit; and to arouse the perfect
brotherly love of God, so that success for them will come by way of
accurate knowledge, through Christian and secular education;
faith, through daily living as they trust God for direction; and
their obedience and love for God. And, finally
helping them to understand that, as Christians, we can have fun and
enjoy the fellowship of others in the process of seeking to win them to
Christ, all within the perimeters of our church vision of: UP-Reach IN-Reach Out-Reach

I Can Do Ministry
Scripture: I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me –
Phil. 4:13
Mission:
to empower people with addictions to believe in self-advancement by
developing their faith in Christ.
New Members Team
The new members team has been established as the introductory and
foundational teaching component of the Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist
Church with it’s intent being grounded in the word of God as found in
Matthew 28:19-20 “…and make
disciples of all nations…” therefore, it is the mission of the
New Members Team to receive,
welcome and minister to the initial needs of all new and reinstated
members of the Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church. It is also our
mission to nurture, to encourage and to “teach
them to observe all things” as commanded by the word of God. This
will all be done while focusing on the
Upreach, Inreach, and
Upreach components of our
mission.
Baptism Ministry
The purpose of the Baptism Ministry is to put God first in
everything we say and do when preparing baptismal candidates whom hve
chosen to accept Christ as their personal savior. Baptism takes place on
the third Sunday of every month. For we know baptism is an outward act
which signifies an inward decision. The committee spiritually prays for
all candidates that they keep the faith and know they made the right
decision.
Web/ Tech Ministry
The web/tech ministry is to teach and increase the technological
ability of those in and around the church. This includes the entire
community and all others who have a desire to learn and maintain
technical capabilities concerning the use of computers and it’s
peripheral components fot the enhancement of spiritual, educational, and
career advancement. Each member commits to give their time and talent
for the glory of God; that God would be pleased in the process we take
to add to his kingdom through the medium of the computer and the
internet (world wide web). It is the ultimate concern of the ministry to
maintain and stay current in the area of new hardware and software that
this the Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church not be left behind in
technological capability.
Men’s Ministry
Mighty
Men of Valor
The men’s ministry supports the vision set forth for the church
and the work done in and around the church as it benefits the church
body. Our support is both spiritual and physical. We act as mentors
motivating others to join in the effort of kingdom building while
following the Master’s plan; to go and teach all nations…teaching them
to observe all things that He has commanded… with the goal to lead all
men to Christ.
“The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life and he that wins
souls is wise.”
“The Lord is with thee thy mighty man of valor” Judges 6:12b

Usher Ministry
An usher is an officer and servant of the church he or she
serves.. The church usher assists the pastor in making the service a
spiritual success by putting the congregation in the right frame of mind
to receive the message. Ushers meet and greet members and guests with a
pleasant smile, a warm welcome, and directs them to comfortable seats.
An usher also ensures that perfect order is kept in and around the
church during the services.
Ushers are forerunners – for we prepare the church for guests and
members by being the first to arrive at the church. We receive the order
of the day from the pastor, see that the church is in proper condition
to receive membership and guests, and we make sure church programs,
offering envelopes, fans, and any other material to be distributed to
the congregation is in the proper place.
Church ushers play an important part in the church program and
our conduct is a reflection of the church. Remember, when we become an
usher, we should always have the mindset of an usher whether in uniform
or not, or whether on duty or not.
